Out of the Blue Sentences Appear on the Front

Visible dust rolling pressure-cooked winds

Funneled through the last mountains before the high plains

So because it was winter snow began

And it was summer again soon with ashes floating

Down like snow through where we had felt vulnerable

Covering out-of-the-body worry while coating the paths

And no-paths with the quiet of flakes formed out of shirts

And rooms and hair and morning light shattering the cold

The heat and ice and rock and air and fire and belly

So out of the ground rock anger entered the blue heights

A red glow smoldered in the black of letters that flaked off

How long before they vanished

The planet itself was very small

A flake of sun cooling into the page

On which visible letters had suddenly appeared
